Visa Note & Fee:

Tourest / Business: All Passengers arriving by air from countries where Burundi does not have Diplomatic Representation can obtain visa on arrival at the airport, provided they have confirmed return onward air ticket and sufficient funds to cover period of stay in Burundi.Visa fee varies on period of stay.

Transit A: Visa is not required for passengers continuing their journey to a third country provided they hold confirmed onward air ticket and visa for next destination of travel.Leaving the airport is not allowed.

Transit B: Transti visa is available for 24 hours to 72 hours, but with a prior confirmation from the Foreign Office at Bujumbura, Burundi, Who should be confirmed well in advance starting reason for visit, Business Associates etc. This is important so that Immigration officers are well warned of the passengers arrival.
