Vaishnodevi (SNS / SS /IN / KUF
/ 334):
Trek to Vaishnodevi shrine for Darshan. The shrine is approachable
by foot or by ponies, a 12 kms long well laid footpath.
Sanasar (SNS / SS /IN / PUC / 335):
Full day sightseeing of Sanasar (17 kms). Sanasar is a cup shaped
meadow surrounded by gigantic conifers. The meadow has now been
developed as a golf course. It also provides opportunities for
Paragliding.
Khajjiar
(SNS / SS /IN / DXL / 336):
Sightseeing of Dalhousie. it is named after the British Governor
general of the 19th Century, Lord Dalhousie . Dalhousie is built
of 5 hills Kathalog, Potreyn, Tehara, Bakrota and Balun. It is
surrounded by varied vegetation-pines, deodars, oaks and flowering
rhododendron. It has charming colonial architecture including
some beautiful churches. One can also have spectacular view of
snow-covered Dhauladhar Mountains. Also visit Khajjiar (1960 Mts),
also known as Mini Switzerland. It is 26 kms each way from Dalhousie.
Visit 12th Century temple dedicated to Khajjinag. Within the temple
are life size wooden images of the five Pandav brothers.
Rohtang
Pass (SNS / SS /IN / OTY / 337):
Full day excursion to Rohtang Pass (13000 ft). A distance of about
100 kms will be covered in about 4 hrs. Explore the pass and enjoy
the fascinating view and playing on snow. Return to Manali.
Shimla
